Membership Sales Representative

The African-American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ & DE (AACC) is seeking a Membership Sales Representative to drive membership growth and build meaningful relationships throughout the tri-state region.
This role is for someone who enjoys building relationships and turning conversations into opportunities. You'll connect with business owners throughout the region, introduce them to the Chamber, and help grow AACC's membership by bringing new businesses into the network.

What You’ll Do
Membership Development & Outreach:
- Identify and connect with prospective member businesses throughout the tri-state area
- Conduct outreach through networking, in-person visits, phone calls, and email communication
- Build relationships with business owners and decision-makers
- Communicate the value of AACC membership, programs, partnerships, and opportunities
Sales & Relationship Management:
- Manage the membership process from initial outreach through enrollment
- Maintain and track prospective members, outreach efforts, and follow-up activities
- Build relationships with prospective members and communicate the value of AACC membership
- Follow up with businesses to answer questions, address concerns, and support membership enrollment
- Support membership growth goals by generating new member interest and securing memberships
Member Engagement & Community Presence:
- Encourage participation in AACC events and programming
- Represent AACC at networking events, expos, and community functions
- Serve as a connector between AACC and the local business community
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable initiating conversations and networking in various settings
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to manage a flexible schedule
- Goal-oriented with the ability to stay persistent and proactive
- Passion for supporting African-American businesses and economic empowerment initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience
- Background in sales, customer service, or business development is required
- Experience in relationship management or partnership development is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM systems
- Familiarity with the Philadelphia and tri-state business community is a plus
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Compensation and Benefits:
- $40,000 base salary plus commission, with earning potential up to $80,000 annually
- AACC offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health benefits and paid time off.
Additional Information:
This role requires regular travel throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, including some evening and weekend events.
